Atosyl Syrup
contains guaifenesin, an expectorant that loosens phlegm
acting by a reflex action, which allows the increase of
bronchial secretion, thus, facilitating the expulsion of
exudations since it decreases viscosity thereof.
Guaifenesin has been carefully associated with sodium chloride,
which acts synergically helping to effectively clear the
phlegm and bronchial secretion, making coughing “more
productive”.
Atosyl Syrup also contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide,
a central action antitussive of great pharmacological activity,
which calms coughing fits that rapidly exhaust the patient,
irritating the respiratory tract and preventing drowsiness.
It is indicated in cases of spasmodic and reflex cough caused
by colds or respiratory tract infections: laryngitis, trachea
bronchitis, pneumonias, nervous cough, and smokers’ cough. |
